Mumbai-based D-Link India is a part of D-Link Corporation, a Taiwan-based multinational, and is a new entrant on this list at #18. D-Link reported sales of Rs 205.18 crore and a profit of Rs 22.13 crore, up by 18% and 22% respectively over the previous year. The company is ranked #22 in sales, #23 in profits, #17 in sales growth and #15 in profit growth. Its gross block was up 7% to Rs 48.66 crore, whereas the ROCE remained flat at 22%. D-Link is ranked #31 in gross block, #41 in gross block growth and #20 in ROCE. The company manufactures products for the networking and communications sectors.
D-Link has also ventured into newer segments like VoIP, firewalls, NAS, digital home products and built-in LAN motherboards. D-Link has a manufacturing facility in Goa and a nationwide network of 16 offices, 21 territory distributors, 300 dealers and 3,000 resellers. The company has performed well in the recent past thanks to the burgeoning telecom market in the country and increasing technology spends. With the Indian telecom market still in its nascent stage, D-Link is expected to ride the growing market for telecom and further improve its performance.
