ROLTA INDIA: Sharp Decline

Rolta was hit by steeply falling employee satisfaction on every single parameter. While a year ago it ranked among the top ten in all the eight employee satisfaction parameter; that changed this year to just four. On overall employee satisfaction, it is down from #2 to #12; on composite satisfaction and company culture it is down from #5 and #8 to #13 and 14 respectively.

It had the lowest number of employees in the industry (67.5%), who said they would recommend this company to a friend. In a year that Rolta's business has been under pressure, and there were wrangling with SEBI, its performance on most questions took a bit of a downswing. Issues like employee involvement, transparency of policies and procedures and corporate governance were key grouse areas. Employees did not rate highly leadership's efforts in pushing the company's growth. The good news, however, was that the employees believed the company responded to their problems, that people were treated fairly and finally-90% of them felt pride in working for the company.
