Wipro took a tumble in its ranking not only because its HR rank came down but also due to its employee score rank remaining at last year's #18. It was a severe indictment for Wipro, with competitors TCS and Infosys figuring at #1 and #3 respectively.
Overall employee satisfaction, satisfaction on company culture, job content and people remained at the previous low levels (ranked 19th on all barring 'people' factors where it ranked 20th). Managers, peers even leadership were key crib areas-on all of these questions the company came right at the bottom of the ladder. It also ranked 20th on excitement and passion at work. The really bad news for Azim Premji-a man who has always set a high premium on ethics-is that Wipro had the least number of employees who believed in the company's work values and ethics.
The highest proportion (67%) of employees in this survey also said they would leave for a 20% hike in salary.
The only good news was a significant improvement in satisfaction on salary. |
