Celetronix India: Made in India
Servicing global OEMs like Dell and Apple, this former Top20 company took up new manufacturing areas, though revenues declined further

Devised and developed a low-cost sub-10K PC to be marketed domestically
Identified Optical
Manufacturing Services (OMS) as a key area of business expansion

Revenues went southward for India's largest Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) provider of Celetronix. Delivering end-to-end EMS solutions, including design, fast prototyping, PCB design and assembly for blue-chip OEM customers from facilities in India, Sri Lanka, Malaysia and US, Celetronix had no parallel in the DQTop50 club, except possibly Moser Baer. Started contract manufacturing memory modules, desktops and Internet appliances like set-top boxes, and licensed its power supply technology to Flextronics.

Flextronics maintained an ongoing investment in Celetronix. The company changed its name from Celetron to Celetronix. It also devised a sub-10K PC for the domestic market. RFID was the company's newly gained expertise-the Noida and Chennai facilities produced more than 2 mn RFID devices per month, including ones like transponders, and ISO cards.
