Consolidated relationship with Siemens Medical Solutions to develop healthcare products

Though SISL's net profits grew by only 19%, it still emerged as a major earnings driver for the entire Siemens group in India accounting for more than half its profits here. With Siemens globally consolidating its software business into SISL, the company's international revenues increased by more than 55% last year. A significant portion of this was contributed by the BPO services. SISL also undertook more high-end research-oriented activities in collaboration with Siemens AG's Corporate Technology, at its new center at Bangalore.

SISL maintained a significant domestic focus with 12% of its revenues coming from India. Beyond plain vanilla implementations, SISL emerged as an important component of the SAP ecosystem in India. Alliance formed with Sify subsidiary Safescrypt to use its Managed PKI Services.
