After two strong years when growth hovered around the 30% mark, Infinite
Computer Systems did not raise the bar further in FY 2005. Its revenues grew by
around 20% to Rs 385 crore, the operating margins improving by just one
percentage point. Considering that the company had a single vertical focus-Telecom-in
1999, it has indeed come a long way, its present capabilities spreading across
healthcare, energy and utilities, and the government. The company now aims to
grow at around 40% in the next two years and is looking at both organic and
inorganic growth. Besides expanding its footprint in new geographies, Infinite
wants to acquire companies in China, APAC, India, and the US. Last fiscal,
Infinite invested $8 mn on a 300,000 sq ft campus in Bangalore, and doubled its
headcount to 2,500. It added CRM, SAP, BPO, product co-development and QA
services to its offerings.
